Jerome Fisher is an alumnus of the University of Pennsylvania. I have no idea what he studied there at the university, but you gotta love the women’s shoes, handbags, and numerous other accessories. Anyway, Jerome Fisher along with his wife Anne Fisher made his very generous donation towards the biomedical research facility. This seems like the Fishers would like to see their donation go towards the advancement of medical technology.
The donation that Jerome Fisher made will most likely help the University of Pennsylvania very much as the donation amounts to a good $50 million. It was reported that this donation from Jerome Fisher was one of the biggest donation amount ever to be received by a school. This is history in the making!
So what would you contribute to if you, like Jerome Fisher of Nine West, had the funds to donate $50 dollars to any foundation or association or organization or charity that you please? This is a thought-provoking question.
If I had the means to donate that kind of money that Jerome Fisher did, I would like to spread the funds out more towards many organizations. Do not get me wrong, I am not by any means down-playing the act that Jerome Fisher did for the University of Pennsylvania. I am merely thinking about the things that one could theoretically do.
I have read that Jerome Fisher and his wife Anne Fisher spoke of their donation to the University of Pennsylvania as an investment. That means that they really believe in the cause of this program that they will be funding. This makes you think that if you did give funds to a certain program, than that will mean that you are giving your support also. In order to give support as Jerome Fisher did to the biomedical program at Penn U, I would really need to believe that that specific program will be beneficial to someone or to a very great cause.
Just think that there are countless things to invest and support in. What makes one organization better than the other. I guess whatever has meaning to you the most will make it better to you in your personal experiences and opinions. In the case of Jerome Fisher of Nine West, he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and I guess perhaps he wanted to give back to the part of the means of his education.
