The thing about Rashida Jones’ clothing line, is that I believe that it is a little different than how many other designers launch clothing lines. Different is not always bad though, and in this case I rather like the take on designing clothes that Rashida Jones had done with Laloo.
Laloo is Rashida Jones’ new clothing line. Why Laloo, you say? Well, Lalloo is how Rashida Jone’s little god-daughter pronounces the phrase ‘I love you’. Isn’t that so cute? A love this clever take on words and the people and other things in your life. One such example of a clever take is Gwen Stefani’s LAMB line. If you do not already know, L.A.M.B is the name of Stefani’s dog. L.A.M.B. stands for Love, Angel, Music, Baby.
Anyway, to get back to the subject at hand, let’s talk about Rashida Jones and Lalloo. Organic clothing is a new concept, for me anyway, and I think it is great! Eco friendly fashion should be not just great for the environment and the eco-system, but it should be great for people that are sensitive to chemicals and who are allergic to certain non-organic materials.
Many people think that the damage done to the environment is beyond help. I am not a scientist or an environmentalist, but should we not always have hope and be hopeful? Little steps towards going green should count in a big way, and Rashida Jones’ eco-friendly fashion is a great step forward. Yes, not all of us can start our own organic fashion line, but there still are other little things that we can do. I have just written a post previous to this one concerning Spirit Airlines 30 challenges…this airlines is doing something to attempt to help with the conservation of the environment by reducing fuel consumption.
So, even if you are not into organic clothing, we can all take something out of Rashida Jones and the Laloo organic clothing line. If we all take just little steps and go green to help out with the environment, than we can make a difference.
Hey! I never thought of eco-fashion like that. What Rashida and Amanda are doing is great. See, I have very sensitive skin and everything I use is dermetogical. So I guess eco-friendly clothing is perfect for me right? And now that it’s becoming such a hot trend I’m in the game, especially since I’m all about the green now. Besides getting started on remodeling my closet, I’ve done a few t things here and there in other parts of the house. One of the most interesting things that I’ve done so far was switch to bioheat.
Has anyone ever heard of it? It’s made of heating oils blended with organic materials like soybean oil and avocado. It’s great too because it’s biodegradable and non-toxic, so I don’t have to breathe in those nasty fumes. As cold as I get I call it my best friend during the winter time.
I found out about bioheat through my job here and NORA. I did some research and got some really great info and other tips on how I can be green from:
