Yves Saint Laurent, more commonly known as YSL, has done much to popularize women pantsuits and the great safari-inspired apparel.

Laurent’s full name is Yves Henri Donat Mathieu Saint Laurent. He was taken under the wing of Christian Dior, whereby after the death of Christian Dior, YSL took control and managed the Dior empire. The French fashion designer was 71 when he passed away just yesterday.
If you follow the fashion world and love designer clothing and accessories, perhaps this is a sad time. No doubt, this is a very tragic time for fashion as they have just lost one of their greats.
Let us remember Yves Saint Laurent for the legacy of fashion that he has left behind. YSL’s keen eye for design and unique creation has brought forth many trends. Although Yves Saint Laurent retired from designing and fashion in 2002, his line of design has still been maintained as an authority.
