The class, control, and smoothness of Gene Kelly in his famous movies such as Singing In the Rain remains a timeless classic. This era of dancing has been brought to the stage of So You Think You Can Dance. The dancer to bring it forth was Evan Kasprzak.
As Mary Murphy said, Evan Kasprzak made the dance moves look very simple and so smooth and effortless that many untrained eyes could easily mistake Evan Kasprzak for a no-talent wannabe cool dancer. This is in no way true! Evan Kasprzak ripped it on the So You Think You Can Dance audition stage and really brought back to life the old school Gene Kelly style, as I like to describe it.
My predictions for So You Think You Can Dance is that Evan Kasprzak will make it to the Top 20 finalists. Why do I say that? Because Kasprzak’s style is one of a kind and unique to the SYTYCD. I do not think, or remember anyway, that I have seen anyone bring forth this type of dancing to the show as of yet. That’s right, Evan Kasprzak is dancing to the beat of his own drum!
Now that the So You Think You Can Dance auditions has wrapped up with the final audition being in Milwaukee and Washington DC, it is time for the show to choose the Top 20 dancer finalists out in Las Vegas. Among the few of the many dancers to receive the golden So You Think You Can Dance plane ticket to Las Vegas was Evan Kasprzak. The judges were amazed by his style and technique just as much as I was, if not more, that they felt no need to see him in the choreography stage of the auditions. Nope, they sent Evan Kasprzak straight home…to pack for Las Vegas, that is.
I am definitely looking forward to seeing the Las Vegas casting of So You Think You Can Dance, and hopefully Evan Kasprzak will do well in Vegas.
