Well, Camp Rock was a very entertaining movie in the eyes of my niece. I for one, was not as entertained as she was, and for good reason. For one, Disney was aiming Camp Rock at the pre-teen or tweens age of boys and girls.
I feel that even though Disney meant the movie Camp Rock for pre-teen children, Disney could have done a much better job with the script and even some of the song arrangements.
Demi Lovato played Mitchie, a young girl attending Camp Rock. She is a middle-class teenage girl whose parent’s are caterers.
Joe Jonas plays Shane Gray, a young rock star sent to Camp Rock as punishment for his bad boy behavior.
Together Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato make a great pair. Demi Lovato’s first name is short for Demitria. Anyway, Demi Lovato’s Rock Camp song is entitled This is Me. Joe Jonas sings a song titled Gotta Find You. Both songs of Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato make for great listening, and the kids will love it!
While I feel that Disney’s Camp Rock falls short of what could have been a great music movie, I should think that any kid between the ages of 7-12 will love to see it. If your kids love the Jonas Brothers, all Jonas Brothers are featured in the movie…however, Joe Jonas plays a main role. You can also catch Alyson Stoner on Camp Rock. If you don’t know who Alyson Stoner is, you have probably seen her in her roles in movies such as Cheaper By the Dozen, Step Up, and her appearances in the Disney Channel’s Mike’s Super Short Show. I really would have liked to see more of Alyson Stoner on Camp Rock…she played a minor role. It would have been cool to see Alyson Stoner rock the stage and turn it into a dance floor. However, Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato made for great main actors.

Yeah, Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato do make a good onscreen couple. Disney’s Rock Camp did a great job of featuring and highlighting the talents of both Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato. This is actually the first that I have seen of Demi Lovato. To tell you the truth, I really love Demi Lovato’s voice. You know, some are speculating that Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato are dating…I guess they make such a great on-screen couple that people think that they are together outside of the movie Disney’s Rock Camp. Well, whatever the case is, congratulations to Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato on a great job done on the movie Rock Camp.
Yeah, you know I have been wanting to see Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato in Rock Camp for some time now. I watched Rock Camp yesterday and thought that my kids would really love it. Well, it turns out that they absolutely enjoyed watching Rock Camp. I, on the other hand, had more fun just watching the kids enjoy the movie. Yeah, Rock Camp wasn’t my idea of a great movie, but the kids sure love it. And they sure love Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato.
I agree Speck. Like I mentioned in the above post, my niece loves the Jonas Brothers and she loved seeing Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato in Rock Camp. I felt that Rock Camp could have been a much greater film, but the cliche of it all brought it down much. But anyway, at least the kids can enjoy Rock Camp, right?
