If you follow the MTV show Randy Jackson presents America’s Best Dance Crew, than you know that the official season 2 competition will start on June 19. The live audition of America’s Best Dance Crew are over and done with, and the dance crews that will be competing for the ultimate title of America’s Best Dance Crew have already been locked in and chosen.
Now that the Supreme Soul dance crew introduced themselves as Jabbawockeez rivals, it will be very hard not to compare them to Jabbawockeez. Both dance crews are unique, yet have very similar styles in dancing. So, who is favored over the other? Well, I will leave that up to you to decide.
Do you like a little swagger? Well, how about a lot? Supreme Soul has a good amount of swagger and aren’t afraid to talk a big game. But the real question is, can the Supreme Soul dance crew back up all that they spit out? According to the America’s Best Dance Crew judges, they have done it so far. However, the actual competition has yet to start, so it will be interesting to see if they can live up to their boasts throughout the entirety of the America’s Best Dance Crew season 2 competition.
The team jackets of the Supreme Soul dance crew sports a double S (or the letters SS). I wonder what those letter stand for? Could it be second season? Or maybe even Shane Sparks? Well, I have yet to figure that one out lol.
The Supreme Soul dance crew are certainly no underdogs in the America’s Best Dance Crew competition. Now that we are all aware that they have beaten the Jabbawockeez in a dance crew battle, perhaps we should have high expectations for them. I am definitely looking forward to June 19, 2008 when the first episode of the actual America’s Best Dance Crew competition will air to see the Supreme Soul dance crew in action once again. Be there or be square!
um….. seriously? SS stands for……. wait for it……………. “S”upreme “S”oul.
Yes, I know that SS stands for Supreme Soul lol. It was supposed to be a joke off of what the judges were saying on the America’s Best Dance Crew live auditions. Anyway, thanks for stopping by.
ah. I didn’t listen to what the judges had to say. My apologies. Well written article though, keep up the good work.
Ok I might be reading too much into it, but when the Jabbas came out on stage, all the other crews seemed to give them respect and clap for them, while SS hardly acknowledged their presence with a few dispersed claps here and there. And then, after the Jabbas performed and all the crews meshed together mingled, you could clearly see that there was segregation between SS and Jabbbas. They didn’t talk to each other or greet each other on stage. I watched the entire post show footage. (Cause I love me the drama, LOL). Anyway, what needs to happen is a REMATCH using ABDC as the platform. Jabbas versus Supreme Soul. How hot would that be? GO JABBAWOCKEEZ!!! Though I give SS all their due credit, I like the humble guys who know their the s*** but don’t need to parade that s*** all over the place.
Good article…now I see why the Jabba’s hating on SS! I’m from the Bay Area…I give props to SS!
SS stands for SOUL SECTOR. Supreme Sole is just a name which involves members not in Soul Sector. Research it and you will find the answers you seek…
FYI…Supreme Soul (aka Soul Sector) DID NOT beat the Jabbawockeez in a battle. If you noticed, they were very hesitant to answer the question until Shane kept bugging them till their arrogance took over and made them LIE by saying “We took it…” The battle that they are referring to is the 2006 Body Rock Finals between Soul Sector and So. Cal All Stars which SC All Stars WON. We all know MTV is trying to create hype, but now SS goes on TV and lies while at the same time, not showing any sportsmanship at all.
Google “Supreme Soul vs Jabbawockeez” and you’ll find many people know the truth about that battle. Watch it on You Tube, it wasnt even close.
Thanks for the information on the Soul Sector vs SoCal All Stars dance battle at Body Rock 2006 Ryan. It was a great battle …just saw it on YouTube.
Yes… “we took it”… “in the…”
SS is Super Wack. These guys have skills on the dance floor but they look/act like wanna b gangsters. I live in San Diego but I lived in downtown San Jose for a year and these guys are pushin it. Always rockin red and throwing up gang signs is a freaking joke. THis crew is a bunch of clowns that dance pretty good.
I think that at the end of every season whoever wins needs to have a dance off vs last season winners ( in this case jabba) and that will decide who americas best dance crew really is ( across both shows ) im not sure how they would judge it though because the judges may be biast and america would prolly root for jabba since they have been in it longer.
