Well, most of us know that you can’t smoke on an airplane, right? Well, Christina Szele allegedly tried to light up a cigarette and smoke it on a JetBlue flight. Christina Szele is a woman from New York who is now known for lighting up a cigarette and punching a JetBlue flight attendant.

So, how did the violence start? Well, reportedly Christina Szele was asked to put out her cigarette because smoking was not allowed on the plane. After refusing, the airline people tried to handle the situation, but Christina Szele was said to be stubborn and was even kicking and screaming. Well, throughout all the commotion, I guess she also managed to sock a flight attendant.

Apparently, Christina Szele had a few drinks during and prior to the JetBlue flight and was inebriated to an extent. What did this cost her? Well, currently Christina Szele is being held in jail until her court hearing date.

So, what are some ideas for airplane etiquette that we all should already know off hand? Well, first of all, do not follow the example of Christina Szele and light up a cigarette on an airplane. This will get you in trouble and even possibly kicked off of the flight. If you have somewhere important to go, don’t risk it no matter how much you are jonesing for cigarette.

I think another thing that is important to remember is that if you are not having the greatest of days, chances are that there will be a few other people on board on the same flight as you that may not also be having a good day. Consideration and patience can go a long way. Happy Traveling!
