Well, the story goes that Emily Lillywhite and her friend (the friend was actually the one that mistakenly tossed the money into the trash) informed the Waste Management Center in Provo, Utah. The Waste Management supervisor than had the garbage dump truck empty the contents of the waste in the truck out so that Emily Lillywhite and her friend could search through the piles of garbage in search for the white package containing the company checks.
Well, doesn’t it seem like all hope is lost? With so many stops that garbage trucks have to make and so much garbage and waste that they have to pick up, the chances of finding the needle in the haystack, in this case the package full of money, seems quite minuscule one would think.
Well, the results is that the very first white bag that Emily Lillywhite picked up from the heap of rubbish was the bag of money belonging to the employer of her friend. Isn’t Emily Lillywhite a lifesaver? There’s no telling how much trouble her unnamed friend would of been in if the white package was not recovered.
I also think that the Waste Management Center in Provo, Utah was very kind to take the time out to allow Emily Lillywhite and her friend to search through the contents of the garbage truck.
Well, this story gives us a little hope in seemingly hopeless situations. Never give up until you have to.
