Kristina Caban reportedly sought revenge on former date Samir Sara. Caban got Samir Sara to meet her at a hotel where she and her then boyfriend grabbed Sara and branded him with a piece of heated metal. This act has cost Kristina Caban a sentence of five years in prison.
While I do not know the details of the Kristina Caban v Samir Sara case, revenge is certainly a very dangerous thing to go after. There are always consequences to every specific action that we take, and we all would do well to reflect on these prior to any decisions that we make.
For Kristina Caban, the consequences of her endeavors for revenge against Samir Sara has cost her a half a decade in prison. Caban is just twenty three years of age. She plead guilty to the charge. Kristina Caban is a college student as I mentioned earlier in this post, and she was permitted to graduate from the college she attended before starting her prison sentence. The college that Caban attended is the Manhattan School of Visual Arts. Was this act really worth it?
In many cases, it is not. I will not judge or criticize Kristina Caban because I have no idea what was going through her mind or what exactly it is in detail that Samir Sara did. However, revenge in general, almost never works out for the person seeking it. Sometimes we think that payback will satisfy our need for justice, but it just leaves a very bitter taste in our mouths instead. There still is that empty feeling in the back of our throats and front of our minds.
Sometimes it may just be better for us if we learn to let go of things, as hard as this may be.
