Memory foam mattresses are quite awesome, in my opinion. However, I can’t afford the authentic Tempur-Pedic memory foam mattress beds. Do you have a comfortable mattress to sleep on? Well, the real question is if there is enough time in the day to get work and other tasks done so that we have the luxury of enjoying a good night’s rest on a comfortable bed. Well, now is about the time to introduce the Uberman Sleep Cycle

The Uberman Sleep Cycle, if this theory of a sleeping pattern does work well, may just be suitable for those of us who are like Rachel McConnell, who tested Uberman sleep cycle out. Although, I have to warn you that this Uberman sleeping pattern will not always afford you the opportunity to sleep in the comfort of your own bed at all times.

You see, from what I have been reading, Rachel McConnell decided to test out the Uberman Sleep Cycle because her creative juice was constantly flowing in her brain. McConnell just wanted to find the time to release all of her brain activity.

You know, correct me if I’m wrong, but I have also read somewhere that the famous inventor Thomas Edison did not have the conventional sleeping pattern that most of us have. He would work throughout the day and take short naps every so often throughout the day. Well, this sleeping pattern is similar to the Uberman sleep cycle.

What Is the Uberman Sleep Cycle?

Well, the Uberman sleep cycle is essentially comprised of twenty minute naps every four hours in a twenty four hour day (duh, right?). If you do the math, the Uberman sleep cycle gives a person 6 twenty minute naps per day for a grand total of two hours of sleep time per twenty four hours.

Why the name Uberman?

I have yet to find out. My guess is Uberman is the last name of the creator of the Uberman sleep cycle.

How Did the Uberman Sleep Cycle Work For Rachel McConnell?

Well, first off I should mention that it is reported that the Uberman sleep cycle entailed that Rachel McConnell sleep during office hours while she was at work. Her employees agreed to allow her to do so. Isn’t that wonderful? Being allowed and having permission to sleep at work? Anyway, it turns out that at first the Uberman sleep cycle seemed to work like a charm for Rachel McConnell. It is also reported that McConnell said she had a lot of time to get things done. But after awhile of using the Uberman sleep cycle regime, McConnell felt sick and got tired. So sick and tired, that McConnell decided to abandon the Uberman sleep cycle. She decided that the Uberman Sleep Cycle was not a good sleeping pattern for her.

I really have never thought about changing my sleeping cycle to adjust to my work schedule or brain activity. In fact, it was always the other way around for me. I have decided that the Uberman sleep cycle would not be suitable for me because I enjoy a good night’s sleep in my comfortable Tempur-Pedic knock-off bed.
