Make way for the new Samsung mobile phone, the Samsung Omnia. Actually, most, if not all Samsung phones are pretty hot right now. But the thing that is different, or the same depending on your viewpoint, about the Omnia is that it is Samsung’s answer to the new iPhone.

I am all for Apple iPhone alternatives, but if you are going to go against the big honchos, you better dish out some great stuff. The Samsung Omnia cell phone, from what I have read of it, sounds like a pretty good quad band phone.

I have never owned a Samsung cell phone, but I have friends with older Samsung flip phones. The quality of the phones are fair and they do last as long as the other top brands such as Motorola do. It will be interesting to find out the price of the Samsung Omnia when it is first released.

The Samsung Omnia cell phone is the kind of phone that comes equipped as a portable electronics entertainment system. The screen on the Samsung Omnia is a nice 3.2 inches which makes it .3 inches small than the Apple iPhone. The resolution on the Samsung Omnia isn’t so great either and cannot hold its own when compared to the iPhone. The phone supports several DIVX codecs and music files such as mp3 and wma. The thing about cell phones like the Samsung Omnia is that when you pack so much features into a small device, sometimes you have to compensate quality for quantity. Sure you have got a high megapixel digital camera, a video and music player, GPS, and a bunch of games packed into one small cell phone. However if you were to purchase these things separately as separate electronic devices, than the quality as well as functionality will be much better.

But this takes nothing away from the Samsung Omnia. This sounds like a very cool cell phone to have. I will head on down to the nearest wireless phone service store as soon as the Samsung Omnia cell phone is released to give it a quick test drive.

I think I want the Apple iPhone. The Samsung Omnia cell phone seems like a great cell phone, but I really like AT&T and the iPhone. The iPhone 3G seems like a great deal compared to what the previous original Apple iPhone cost to begin with. The Samsung Omnia would be more third choice out of the three phones I am looking at.
